This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from “Merry Puppy”.

When you provide us with your personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, schedule a delivery or return a purchase, we assume that you consent to our collecting and using your information for this purpose only.

How can I withdraw my consent?

We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfill any orders placed through the website including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). Additionally, we use this Order Information to:

- Screen our orders for potential risk or fraud; and
- When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.

We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our website (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the website, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).

4. Shopify

 

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell you our services and products.

Your data is stored in the Shopify data storage system and databases, and in the general Shopify application. Your data is stored on a secure server protected by a firewall.

Payment:
If you make your purchase through a direct payment gateway, in this case Shopify will store your credit card information. This information is encrypted in accordance with the payment card industry’s data security standard (PCI-DSS). Information about your purchase transaction is kept for as long as necessary to complete your order. Once your order is completed, the purchase transaction information is deleted.

All direct payment gateways are PCI-DSS compliant, managed by the PCI Security Standards Board, which is a joint effort of companies such as Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

The requirements of the PCI-DSS standard ensure the secure processing of credit card data by our shop and its service providers.

5. Services provided by third parties 

Generally, the third party providers we use will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to perform the services they provide to us.
However, some third party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies regarding the information we are required to provide them with for your purchase transactions.

With respect to these providers, we recommend that you read their privacy policies carefully so that you can understand how they will handle your personal information.

Please note that some suppliers may be located or have facilities in a jurisdiction other than yours or ours. So if you decide to pursue a transaction that requires the services of a third party provider, your information may then be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which this provider is located or those of the jurisdiction in which its facilities are located.

Once you leave our shop or are redirected to a third party website or app, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy or the Terms and Conditions of Sale and Use of our website.

7. Safety


To protect your personal data, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to ensure that it is not lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, modified or destroyed in an inappropriate manner.

If you provide us with your credit card information, it will be encrypted through the use of SSL security protocol and kept with AES-256 encryption. Although no method of internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all the requirements of PCI-DSS and implement additional standards generally accepted by industry.

COOKIES FILES

Here is a list of cookies we use. We have listed them here so that you can choose whether or not to allow them.

_session_id, unique session identifier, allows Shopify to store your session information (referrer, landing page, etc.)
_shopify_visit, no data retained, persists for 30 minutes since last visit. Used by the internal statistics tracking system of our website provider to record the number of visits.
_shopify_uniq, no data held, expires at midnight (depending on location of the visitor) the next day. Calculates the number of visits to a shop per single customer.
cart, unique identifier, persists for 2 weeks, stores information related to your shopping cart.
_secure_session_id, unique session identifier
storefront_digest, unique identifier, undefined if the shop has a password, it is used to know if the current visitor has access.


8. Do not track

Please note that we do not alter our website's data collection and use practices when we see a Do Not Track signal from your browser.


9. Changes to this privacy policy


We reserve the right to change this privacy policy at any time, so please check it frequently. Changes and clarifications will be effective immediately upon posting on the website. If we make changes to the content of this policy, we will notify you here that it has been updated, so you know what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances we disclose it, if appropriate.

If our store is acquired by or merged with another company, your information may be transferred to the new owners so that we can continue to sell you products.We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.
